In the second week of january I decided to go to the jungle. Unfortunately noone of my frinds could go with me so I went alone. And you know what - it was not so bad, actually - it was great!
I arrived to La Merced on Saturday early in the morning. I found a place to sleep and started to visit touristic places nearby. I decided to do it on my own, without taking a trip in a travel agency, because I was looking for an adventure. At first I went to a waterfall called “Catarata de Tirol”. It is situated near San Ramon, you have to walk around half an hour through the jungle to get to the waterfall.
The jungle is impressive, everything is so green, there are lot of birds, insects and huge butterflies! What is more, I saw a snakes and the trees of banana, mango, papaya, orange, coco, etc.

The next touristic place on my map was a bridge Quimiri. I went there and while I was contemplating a landscarpe small truck arrived. I decided to go in, because it was going to the plantation of oranges.
I went there, helped the guy to recharge his truck, and then I was invited to the fiesta. Before that I had a look on a plantation, I saw how do they pick up the oranges (film).

And finally- fiesta!
We were eating, driking, and then dancing peruvian dances called huayno, cumbia and chica. It was an amazing experience. Between dancing people you could find walking ducks and chickens. On the last picture on the right side you can see people dancing and in the backgroud an indian mother breastfeeding her child.
The next day I spend in the mountains, in Tarma. I arrived there early in the morning and went to see the bigest cave in South America. On the way to the cave I saw a Jesus face formed in the rocks, Indians working in their plantations. After visiting the cave I walked up the mountain to see the ruins. I met the shepherd there which show me a beautiful way through the canyon. I took this way to go back to Tarma.
