During the first week in Lima I looked around to find anyone who would like to go somewhere in the weekend. I was lucky, because two other trainees planned to go to Ica, Paracas and Islas Ballestas and I could join them. It was just 3 hours away from Lima.
It was fantastic trip. I saw the sun for the first time since I arrived (Lima itself is always cloudy). What is more, I saw a desert for the first time in my life. On Saturday we were in Paracas. At first we saw Islas Ballestas - sea lions, cormorans, pinguins and tousands of other animals, birds, not to mentions a famous candalabr.
Then we were visiting a National Park in Paracas, in other words - the desert. Just look at the road made of salt, red beach or the cathedral.
The second day we spend in Huacachina, very cute oasis 5 kilometers from Ica. The main attraction was not the views or beautiful hostel, but sandboarding.
