Before arriving to Peru - Barcelona

We arrived at Barcelona. Everything went well, but check-in lasted very long and we have heard our names in “last call” communicate many times. If I woke up at 3:30, as I planned, it would not be a problem, but I slept a bit longer.

We get to our place and Alinka served a delicious lunch. We had to go to the shop to buy what we needed, and then we observed something interesting. If you ask Spanish people about something (we are trying to do it in Spanish, that’s funny), they always want to answer. It doesn’t matter if they know the answer or not. We thaught that they are too proud to say “I don’t know”, but that’s not. We noticed, that every time we ask someone, there is many other people listening to your conversation. If you finish and you think that you know everything you wanted they come to you and say something completely diffrent. The advantage of that situation is that you can easily get sameone to guide you.

Our other observations are that the people drinking wine on the street use a glass (It’s a bit different than in Poland - if you drink a wine in a park you do it straightly from a bottle, by the way you have to always take care of police control.)

Day by day we are visiting Barcelona, not only the touristic stuff. We do not appreciate riding “bus touristic”, we just watch it from our window

In fact, we are trying to be an active tourists and we make many extreme sports, such as karate and climbing

My impression is that people in Spain are a bit lazy and they do mechanic stairs!!!! everywhere where they can.

I was celebrating my birthday in Spain, so I had a possibility to see some partys, I see some differencies. In the pubs people chat few times more loudly than in Poland. The louder they are, the more fun they have. Maybe I’m getting old but I couldn’t get used to such a noisy places. I saw also a students’ festival, people behave even more loudly than in a pubs, but I prefer polish Juvenalia (students’ festival in Cracow). The last party was made at home and the main attraction was “Agua the Valencia”, here is the recipe

3/4 l orange juice
1/4 l champagne
50 g sugar
100 ml vodka
Theoretically it should look more or less like this

But we made more

Agua de Valencia

PS. Kasiu, thank you for help in Barcelona, especially for an accommodation, but also for advices, maps, dinners and delicious corn flakes. Schoene Gruesse an dir und Steve!
